The CSU, Chico Food Marketing Team competes every
year at the Western Collegiate Food Marketing Competition in
Anaheim, California. The teams of students create an innovative new
product and then develop a strategic marketing and business plan to
promote their product. These plans are presented to a panel of
industry judges who rate the quality of the plans and presentation.
This year's teams earned first place in the domestic
division and first place in the international division! Bliss, a
chocolate dipping product was created for the domestic market by the
team of Nicolina Presininzi, Jeff Alves, Heather Clement, Erica
Flores, Scott Cummings, and Jamie Crank. Sprinx was a cookie toolkit
created as an entertaining snack for kids. Sprinx was created for
the export market by the team of Annie Maddalena, William Weese,
Brian Greathouse, and Colleen Bartlett.
