Opportunity Day 2007 has a new look!

Opportunity Day 2007 is the College of Agriculture's Open House for prospective students. It is designed for high school seniors who are interested in pursuing a degree in agriculture. We will feature exciting hands-on workshops in the different agriculture majors and options, plus a tour of our 800-acre University Farm, as well as campus, housing, and farm tours.

§         Opportunity Day is Thursday, October 11^th, 2007.

§         Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the University Farm Pavilion.

§         Lunch is provided and the program will conclude by 2:30 p.m.

§         Exclusive scholarships to be awarded!

§         RSVP is REQUIRED by October 5^th.

§         Scholarship applications due October 5^th.

At Opportunity Day the College of Agriculture will award exclusive Opportunity Day scholarships to students who have applied for admission and are in attendance on October 11, 2007. Students applying for scholarships must have completed an online CSU admissions application at www.csumentor.edu and must also have submitted a scholarship application to the Ag Outreach Office by October 5th, 2007. This one scholarship application will make students eligible for the Opportunity Day scholarships as well as other scholarships for first time students. A second application in the spring will not be required.   

In addition to scholarships, students will have the opportunity to apply for priority housing placement. Students interested in living their first year in the Agricultural Theme House at University Village will be given priority for the spaces available in Fall 2008. Students will still be required to complete the University Housing application between April 1^st and April 10^th, but will be assured of priority placement thanks to attending Opportunity Day.
