Transferring from a community college to Chico State is simple and efficient
if you use the advising sheets for your college below. Feel free to
contact us any time by calling (800) 774-1644 or e-mailing
AgOutreach@csuchico.edu. The
B.S. degree program at Chico State requires a minimum of 120 units and you can
complete half of these at your community college. Some general
advise:
Complete your general education (GE) requirements before
transferring. Note: Use courses listed on the advising
sheet when ever possible to satisfy the GE requirements of your
community college. The advising sheet lists the GE area the
course satisfies at Chico State and in some cases your community
college may not accept the course as meeting the community college
GE requirements.
Complete a minimum 60 units before transferring.
Feel free to contact a Chico State advisor prior to
transferring.
Generally elective courses can be any transferable agriculture
course offered by your community college.
Students seeking a teaching credential should contact a Chico
State advisor for addition courses they may be able to take at
their community college to meet the additional requirements for a
California Teaching Credential.
For some community colleges no articulated (equivalent) lower
division course may exist. If you think you have a similar
course at your community college contact Chico State for advise.
