Personal Information:

Joe assists faculty and students with student projects at the university farm.  In addition, he manages the alfalfa fields and walnut orchards which are grown commercially at the farm.   Joe received his B.S. Degree in Ag Business from California State, Chico, in 1990, and has been a licensed pest control applicator from 1990-present.  In this capacity he was a licensed pest control advisor for a local chemical/fertilizer dealer from 1992-2001.  Joe managed the Carlin Ranch in south Butte County, and he also farms walnuts with is father in south Butte County.
