Lau has been working on the ATRC since 1996 as a staff member. He also worked on the ATRC as a student from 1989 to 1993. He coordinated the PSSC
309A, directed work experience field crops, and is currently teaching the class. He sets up and assists with labs for other faculty, he also manages two or three student assistants and does general farm work to help keep the ATRC operating. He graduated from Chico State in 1993 with a B.S. in Agronomy. After graduating he and his wife spent two years in Paraguay as part of the Peace Corps. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and then grew up in Ignacio, Colorado on a dry-land wheat farm. He and his wife Nancy have two kids, Natalie and Cormac.
