The College of Agriculture, California State University, Chico seeks to expand its part-time faculty pool in agribusiness, plant science, animal science, and agricultural engineering technology. Individuals are selected from this pool for semester or academic year part-time appointments. 

Plant science courses that may be available to part-time temporary faculty members are: World Food and Fiber Systems; Food Forever; Production of Annual Crops; Rangeland Resources and Management; Agricultural Genetics.

Animal science courses that may be available to part-time temporary faculty members are: Introduction to Animal Science; Intermediate Animal Science; Anatomy and Physiology of Domestic Animals; Advanced Livestock Selection and Carcass Evaluation; Basic Horse Science; Intermediate Horse Science; Food Sanitation and Quality Control.

Agricultural engineering technology courses that may be available to part-time temporary faculty members are: Agricultural Machine Systems; Curriculum Methods in Teaching Agricultural Mechanics.

Qualified individuals are encouraged to apply now to be included in the part-time faculty pool for possible teaching assignments. Criteria used in the selection of part-time temporary faculty are

• Appropriate education for course to be taught
• Previous successful teaching experience at the community college level or above; and,
• Demonstrated currency in course subject matter.
